What authorising means

Approving a quote authorises Ash to carry out the approved work on your vehicle, to source the listed parts, and to charge the approved amount. It does not authorise additional work.

Additional work

If we find something else during the job — including safety-critical findings — we stop and contact you first. No additional chargeable work happens without a fresh approval.

Diagnostics

Authorising a diagnostic check authorises us to test and inspect the vehicle to find the reported problem, and to advise you of findings.

Parts and disposal

Replaced parts may be retained as evidence unless you ask us to return them. We dispose of old parts, fluids and tyres responsibly.

Recording authorisation

We record the time, date, method and detail of every approval so there's never any doubt about what was agreed.

Unpaid work and your vehicle

Until payment is made, the vehicle and any customer-supplied parts may be held under a repairer's lien as permitted by New Zealand law. We will always contact you first and agree a reasonable resolution before any further step.
