Terms and Conditions
Ask Ash Motors · Brookfield, Tauranga 3110, New Zealand. Updated 7 September 2026.
These terms
These terms apply to bookings, quotes, repairs and use of the Ask Ash Motors website and customer portal. By booking or approving work with us you agree to them. They are written in plain English on purpose — if anything is unclear, ask and we'll explain.
Quotes and approvals
A quote shows labour, parts and any other charges including GST. No chargeable work begins until you approve it — in writing, online, or recorded by phone. If further work is discovered after approval, we stop and ask you first.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown with GST (NZ consumer prices include GST). Payment is due on collection unless another arrangement is agreed. We accept the payment methods we advertise at the time.
Customer-supplied parts
If you supply parts, we can fit them but can't guarantee parts we didn't source. We'll advise honestly if we have concerns about the quality or suitability of parts you provide.
Vehicle storage
Vehicles left beyond an agreed collection date may incur a storage charge. We'll always talk to you first. If a vehicle is left uncollected and we cannot reach you after reasonable efforts, we may follow the process described in our Repair Authorisation page.
Liability
We take care with your vehicle and your property. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986 or any other law that cannot be excluded. Where the law allows, our liability is limited to the reasonable value of the services provided.
Your consumer rights
Services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill, and be fit for the purpose you asked about. If work falls short of what the Consumer Guarantees Act requires, you are entitled to have the problem remedied — see Complaints & Consumer Rights for how to raise it with us.
Contact us — a real person replies, and we're happy to explain anything in plainer English.
